MATERIAL TRANSFER VEHICLES
HDTV2500A self-propelled material transfer vehicle that shuttles, stores and re-blends hot asphalt for continuous, segregation-free paving on highways and airfields.
CONTINUOUS,
SEGREGATION-FREE
PAVING.
Material transfer vehicles (MTVs) are usually used to assist the pavers. Most pavers are equipped to receive HMA directly from dump trucks, however in certain situations it can be necessary or advantageous to use an MTV. It allows the paver to operate continuously without stopping, minimizes truck waiting time at the paving site and may minimize aggregate segregation and temperature differentials.
Hot mix is received from delivery trucks into a 25 m³ hopper, stored in an insulated, hot-oil-heated bin that holds temperature within ±5 °C for hours, and re-blended by a continuous mixing auger before discharge. This eliminates thermal and aggregate segregation — the leading cause of premature pavement failure.
A 4-axle all-terrain undercarriage lets the unit reposition between paving sites under its own power, while PLC + joystick control gives a single operator full command of drive, conveyor and auger from one station.
ENGINEERED DOWN TO THE FASTENER.
KEY FEATURES
Continuous Material Flow
Onboard storage and a powered auger keep the paver hopper fed without truck exchange, eliminating start-stop paving.
Insulated Hot Bin
Hot-oil heated and fully insulated storage bin holds mix temperature within ±5 °C for up to four hours.
Anti-Segregation Mixing
A continuous mixing auger re-blends the asphalt during transfer, preventing aggregate and temperature segregation.
540 t/h Throughput
High-capacity conveyor and discharge auger sustain up to 540 tonnes per hour to match high-speed paver output.
PLC + Joystick Control
Single-joystick drive and conveyor control with PLC recipe management and remote diagnostics.
All-Terrain Mobility
4-axle undercarriage with all-wheel drive repositions between paving sites without lowboy transport.
